Red Door Roulette is a live roulette game from Evolution built on a European 0–36 wheel, bonus keys, and a separate bonus wheel. To enter the bonus, you need a straight-up bet on the exact winning keyed number; if the number wins but has no key, or the key lands on a number you did not back straight-up, there is no bonus entry. That is why it helps to keep the multiplier layer separate from payout and profit.

[Evolution’s standard product page](https://games.evolution.com/live-casino/live-roulette/red-door-roulette/) says the game has 3–15 bonus numbers, random key multipliers from 2x–20x, one key per numbered spot, and a bonus wheel with 64 sectors and one flapper. The product also says Double doubles every wheel multiplier and triggers a respin. Check the current rules for your table or operator/jurisdiction before relying on version-specific details below.

## How the bonus starts

The bonus starts only when two things line up at once: the winning number has a key, and you placed a straight-up bet on that exact number. That is the entry rule, not a general bonus trigger for the whole table.

1. Bets close, and the ball lands on a result.
2. The official bonus keys on the table are revealed.
3. Check whether the winning pocket has a key and whether your own straight-up bet is on that exact number.
4. If you qualify, move to the bonus wheel: the key affects wheel multipliers, and Double doubles the multipliers and triggers a respin.

Outside bets like red or black, odd or even, splits, corners, and lines do not open the bonus for you. They can still win or lose the normal roulette part of the round, but they do not qualify you for bonus entry.

A result history records what already happened. It does not forecast the next spin.

## What the keys do

Keys are placed on the bonus numbers, with one key on each numbered spot. Evolution’s standard page says there are 3–15 bonus numbers, and key multipliers are randomly set within the 2x–20x range. That key multiplier is part of the multiplier layer, not a payout by itself.

If your straight-up bet is on a number with a key and the ball lands there, you enter the bonus. If the key is on another number, or your bet is not a straight-up bet on the winning keyed number, the bonus does not trigger for you.

### Version-specific rules and cap

Check the current applicable table or jurisdiction rules before relying on the version-specific payout or RTP details below.

In the [Loto-Québec rules PDF dated 18 Apr 2024](https://assets.lotoquebec.com/ressources/assets/v3/assets/blt8296e79a7001648c/bltc70b98d141802f5f/67e6d7eaf9f87b5913c4f746/Red_Door_Roulette_rules_en.pdf), the version-specific details include:

- max multiplier: 4,000x
- displayed straight-up payout: 19–3999:1
- RTP: 97.30% for most bets
- RTP: 97.09% for straight-up
- RTP: 96.50% for straight-up bets if winnings exceed the CAD $500,000 maximum payout
- per-round limit: CAD \$500,000 including stake

These figures apply to that stated version and jurisdiction only.

## How to read the key multiplier and Double layer

The key multiplier and the wheel multipliers describe a multiplier layer, not a cash payout on their own. First you work out the combined multiplier, then the stake and the table rules determine the payout.

For example, if the key is 5x, the wheel sector is 25x, and Double appears once, the layer arithmetic is:

5x × 25x × 2¹ = 250x

That 250x figure is a multiplier layer, not a cash payout or profit. To convert it into a payout, you still need the stake size and the table’s rules.

Double doubles every wheel multiplier and then triggers a respin. If Double appears again, the multiplier layer doubles again.

## Conditional model for coverage

This section is only a conditional model. It is not a provider average, an observed table frequency, or a profitability estimate. It assumes that C distinct numbers are covered, N distinct keys are allocated uniformly without replacement across 37 pockets, and the winning pocket is independent and uniformly distributed. Under those assumptions:

P = C × N / 37²

For N=8, the model gives these results:

- C=1: 0.58% per spin
- C=13: 7.60% per spin
- C=37: 21.62% per spin

Over 60 modelled spins, the expected number of triggers is:

- C=1: 0.35
- C=13: 4.56
- C=37: 12.97

These values are model outputs only. They are not observed rates, provider averages, or profit forecasts. The key distribution and independence are assumed.

**Conditional bonus trigger model by coverage**

| | Trigger / spin | Expected triggers / 60 spins |
|---|---:|---:|
| 1 | 0.58 | 0.35 |
| 13 | 7.6 | 4.56 |
| 37 | 21.62 | 12.97 |

| Straight-up numbers covered | Trigger / spin | Expected triggers / 60 spins |
|---|---:|---:|
| 1 | 0.58% | 0.35 |
| 13 | 7.60% | 4.56 |
| 37 | 21.62% | 12.97 |

## What the 4,000x cap means

The 4,000x cap is the upper limit stated in the version-specific Loto-Québec rules. It does not mean every table uses the same cap, and it should not be carried over to other jurisdictions without checking the current table rules.

In that PDF, the 4,000x maximum is listed separately from the straight-up payout schedule and the CAD $500,000 cash payout limit. For other Evolution tables, check the current rules for that table directly.

## FAQ

### How does the bonus start in Red Door Roulette?

Two conditions must match: the winning number must have a key, and you must have a straight-up bet on that exact number. Outside bets do not trigger the bonus.

### How many keys can appear in one round?

[Evolution’s standard product page](https://games.evolution.com/live-casino/live-roulette/red-door-roulette/) says there are 3–15 bonus numbers. Each numbered spot can hold one key.

### What does a key multiplier do?

A key multiplier multiplies the wheel values in the bonus round. It is a multiplier layer, not a cash payout by itself.

### How does Double work?

Double doubles every wheel multiplier and then triggers a respin. If Double appears again, the multiplier layer doubles again.

### What is the cap in the Loto-Québec rules?

The [Loto-Québec rules PDF dated 18 Apr 2024](https://assets.lotoquebec.com/ressources/assets/v3/assets/blt8296e79a7001648c/bltc70b98d141802f5f/67e6d7eaf9f87b5913c4f746/Red_Door_Roulette_rules_en.pdf) states a 4,000x cap, displayed straight-up payout of 19–3999:1, RTP of 97.30% for most bets and 97.09% for straight-up, and a CAD $500,000 per-round limit including stake. This is version- and jurisdiction-specific, not universal.

### Can result history predict the next spin?

No. A result history records past outcomes and does not forecast the next spin.
