Banker Streak is a side bet on consecutive Banker wins. You place it after a Player win, a Tie, or the completion of ten consecutive Banker wins, and counting starts with the next hand. Each Banker win adds one to the count; a Player win or a Tie ends the wager. A final count of 0–3 loses, 4–9 pays the corresponding tier when the streak ends, and the tenth Banker win pays the top tier immediately and closes the wager.
This guide covers Table 2 as reported for the Orleans in May 2017 in Wizard of Odds’ account. The author says game owner eTable Games supplied literature and reproduces four paytable variants. The original owner sheet is not publicly inspectable, so this guide relies on Wizard of Odds’ published account, not direct inspection of that sheet. Current table terms and availability are unverified; these payouts are not universal rules for every casino.
When Can You Place the Bet, and How Do You Count?
Start counting with the hand after a qualifying entry result. The preceding Player win, Tie, or tenth Banker win allows a new wager but does not count toward its streak.
Under the reported rules:
- Wait for a Player win, a Tie, or the completion of ten consecutive Banker wins.
- Place the side bet before the next hand.
- Add one to the count for each subsequent Banker win.
- Stop counting when a Player win or Tie occurs: the wager is over.
- If Banker wins ten consecutive hands, the wager ends immediately on the tenth win.
A Tie does not keep this side bet alive or automatically return the stake. It ends the streak. At 0–3 Banker wins, the wager loses; at 4–9, it settles at the tier for the final count.
Reaching the fourth or fifth Banker win does not trigger a payment. While the wager remains open, these are only provisional tiers—the payout levels that would apply if the streak ended at that count. There is one final settlement, not a series of payments.
Table 2: What Does a 10-Unit Stake Return?
Five final Banker wins produce 150 units of net profit and a gross return of 160 units, including the stake. The complete ladder below follows Table 2 in Wizard of Odds’ account of eTable Games literature, reported for the Orleans in 2017.
| Final Banker win count | Profit payout ratio | Net profit on a 10-unit stake | Gross return, including stake |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–3 | Loss | −10 | 0 |
| 4 | 10:1 | 100 | 110 |
| 5 | 15:1 | 150 | 160 |
| 6 | 25:1 | 250 | 260 |
| 7 | 40:1 | 400 | 410 |
| 8 | 60:1 | 600 | 610 |
| 9 | 100:1 | 1000 | 1010 |
| 10 | 250:1 | 2500 | 2510 |
A 15:1 profit payout ratio means 15 units of profit per unit staked, excluding the returned winning stake. For a 10-unit stake:
- Net profit: 10 × 15 = 150 units.
- Gross return: 150 + 10 = 160 units.
This is an arithmetic illustration, not confirmation that a particular table accepts a 10-unit stake. All amounts are whole units, so no rounding is needed. Tiers 4–9 settle only after a Player win or Tie ends the streak; tier 10 settles immediately on the tenth Banker win.
Worked Example: Five Banker Wins Followed by a Tie
A Tie after five Banker wins closes the side bet at 15:1: a 10-unit stake returns 160 units, of which 150 is net profit. No interim payments occur before the Tie.
In this illustrative sequence, P means a Player win, B means a Banker win, and T means a Tie. These labels record hand results; they are not predictions. The example assumes the reported Table 2 rules and an accepted 10-unit stake. The calculation uses whole units and requires no rounding; it does not establish current table limits.
Illustrative Banker Streak timeline: a Player win allows a 10-unit wager, then five Banker wins followed by a Tie settle it for 150 units of net profit and a gross return of 160 units.

| Hand | Result | Banker win count | Wager status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Before the wager | Player win | 0 | A 10-unit side bet may be placed before the next hand |
| 1 | Banker win | 1 | Open; no paying tier reached |
| 2 | Banker win | 2 | Open; no paying tier reached |
| 3 | Banker win | 3 | Open; no paying tier reached |
| 4 | Banker win | 4 | Open; provisional tier of 10:1 |
| 5 | Banker win | 5 | Open; provisional tier of 15:1 |
| 6 | Tie | 5 | Closed; net profit 150 units, gross return 160 units |
If a Tie or Player win had occurred after only three Banker wins, the wager would have lost: net profit −10 units and gross return 0.
If Banker had won ten consecutive hands, there would have been no need to wait for another result. The wager would have closed on the tenth win at 250:1, producing 2500 units of net profit and a gross return of 2510 units.
What Should You Check at the Table?
Check the current rules, paytable, and bet limits before placing a wager. The published historical account does not establish all the terms needed to play at a particular table. Unverified details include:
- Minimum and maximum stakes.
- Any payout cap.
- Settlement when the shoe ends.
- Settlement if play is interrupted or abandoned.
- Whether a concurrent main wager is required.
Look for these terms in the game’s rules, help, paytable, and bet-limit information. If shoe-end or interruption settlement is not explained, ask for clarification before betting. Do not fill gaps with ordinary baccarat rules.
In particular, do not apply the ordinary 5% Banker commission to this side bet. The main wager’s Tie settlement also does not determine Banker Streak settlement: under the rules described here, a Tie ends the side-bet streak.
The Nevada regulator’s approved-games list independently confirms the game’s name. Its linked Excel file lists BANKER STREAK BACCARAT in row 158 with an approval date of 2016-03-16. That entry confirms the name and approval—not the payout amounts or current availability.
Can a Streak Chart or Calculator Evaluate This Bet?
A streak chart cannot replace Banker Streak’s settlement rules, and the house edge calculator does not track this multi-hand wager. Every hand result matters when grading it, including a Tie.
Our 1000 baccarat shoes analysis ignores Ties when measuring descriptive streaks. Banker Streak uses a different rule: a Tie ends the side bet. You therefore cannot use a streak length from that analysis to settle this wager. Past results are not a prediction of the next hand.
Wizard of Odds reports a house edge of 11.83% for Table 2. This is a mathematical model value, not an observed or guaranteed result for your play.
For a limited expected-loss illustration, the house edge calculator accepts a custom house edge. Enter 11.83%, a stake of 10 units, and 100 rounds. Here, one round must mean one resolved side bet, not one baccarat hand. The resulting expected loss is approximately 118.30 units, rounded to two decimal places and based on the reported 11.83% edge. The calculator does not determine Banker Streak payout tiers, model a Tie ending the streak, or predict your actual result.
