Frequently Asked Questions
What is poker equity?
Equity is your percentage chance of winning the pot. If you have 60% equity, you'll win the pot 60% of the time when the hand is played to showdown.
How does Monte Carlo simulation work?
We simulate 100,000 random runouts (the remaining cards), evaluate each player's hand, and count how often each player wins. This gives an accurate estimate of your true equity.
Why does AA vs KK show ~82% for AA?
Aces are the best starting hand, but they can still be beaten. KK can make a set, straight, or flush to win. The ~82% equity means AA wins about 4 out of 5 times preflop all-in.
